So i have many moments each day where i think either "this is my job?! i am not getting paid enough for this." OR "this is my job? i can't believe i get paid for this." Last night had the latter thought.
We had talent show last night on campus. there were many boys with guitars and a few other acts that were all pretty good. we ended the talent show with what is supposedly a tradition on campus. all the team leaders lined up in two lines facing the corps members. we split down the middle and each ate an oreo. we then all pulled out a toothbrush and brushed our teeth. we passed a cup from the outside of each line down the line and all spit our toothpaste/oreo mixture in. those of you who have ever been to youth group or summer camp probably know what is coming. two team leaders then drank the cup of oreo/toothpaste mixture. they had volunteered to do it (crazy). watching the corps members faces was hilarious. there was also a giant gasp and scream when the two team leaders started drinking. kinda wish i had that moment on video. so funny. again: this is my job?!
today we have induction, which means we are officially americorps members because we have successfully completed training. we are going to load the cargo van today so we are all set for monday when we leave for LA!
