ok so we had a three day weekend this weekend and planned on going to yosemite but my body said no. i've been a little sick on and off for 2 weeks. and of course the sick came back on the day before we were going to leave. so this weekend was not as exciting as i hoped, but instead a much needed rest. i suppose yosemite will still be there and i can go another time when i am not sick and can enjoy it more!
so this is going to be a big week because the corps members are coming! us team leaders are pretty excited for them to get here and eventually get to meet our teams. we've been calling people that are on our pods for the past few days to make sure they have all they need. We're maing signs for their doors and prepping all the stations for in processing. They will get their uniforms, be fitted for steel toe boots, and get room keys. There will be 264 of them coming on wednesday! we have gotten used to there being 36 of us and now only 22 of us since other team leaders left for samoa, so this will be a big shock! last night we were reading the entries on the corps members facebook group and some of them are so funny, they are so excited and have so many questions.
think thats it for now. off to enjoy the quiet while it lasts.
