So many of you know that my VISTA leader term ends in mid-October. This is my final AmeriCorps term, due to a term limit of 3. If it were up to me I'd probably keep taking these jobs forever because I am an AmeriCorps junky.
But I think I may have found a chance to continue my contributions to AmeriCorps. The federal agency that runs AmeriCorps is called the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and they have a position open. The federal application process is very thorough and thus takes quite a while so it could be perfect timing with the end of my term as VISTA Leader.
The main idea is that I really want this job! Will be submitting my application shortly. I have been alive just long enough to finally realize the power of allowing others into my thoughts and hopes and dreams. So this is me telling the world through the internet (or the 6 of you who read this blog) that I'd really appreciate if you can say a prayer to whoever it is that you pray to that I can have this job! Or send good vibes or help me make sure my aura is the right color. I would appreciate the intervention of any higher powers you believe in.
