A few thoughts for this un-ending Friday.
Why is it that the months go by so fast (it is August on Monday!) yet the days go by so slow? Especially the hours of 2-4:30 pm…
On the way to work yesterday I was cut off by a Tahoe bearing the vanity plate “classylady.” Obviously claiming you’re classy on your license plate doesn’t actually make you classy. Similarly I am recruiting VISTA members still/again and I have many candidates that claim to be good writers. But here’s the thing you should just write your application and cover letter well. Then you wouldn’t even need to waste the words to say that you write well, I would actually see a sample in your application. Sigh.
