Things to be excited about. In no particular order.
1. Happy Birthday to 7/11. If you go to participating 7/11s today you can get a free 7.11 oz slurpee. Hello date night. Now you all know what I'm doing tonight.
2. Wedding invites are on their way. They arrived at the Green Brook post office at 4:26am. I love tracking packages. I also think the mail is a magical thing. I mean you put something in an envelope, put a stamp on it and put it in your mailbox, which is conveniently located at your own house and it arrives at your destination days later. Although the post office isn't perfect 44 cents seems like a small fee to pay for such a service. anyways, wedding invites soon.
3. i have a leftover burrito for lunch.
4. there was a wedding shower at my family's house this weekend for p and me. I was a little nervous because i am a little bit of a control freak. but i let go of the details, let mom and bridesmaids plan it. and it turned out just how we wanted. we had beautiful weather for a bbq, lawn games and pool use. plenty of food and booze and more dessert than i think heaven will have. (calories don't count there). about 50 people showed up to celebrate with us and we were glad to see all of them.
This was the first time i was at a party where i knew everyone! it a little overwhelming to try to spend time with everyone, but mostly it was awesome. i am one of those awkward people that usually sits in a corner at a party and hopes the 1-2 people i know don't leave me to talk to someone else. so yeah, being at a party where i knew everyone was awesome!
