10.20.10

I wasn't going to keep this blog updated after my year with NCCC ended because I didn't think I'd have anything exciting to talk about. And...its kind of true...I don't really. But maybe I'll post a funny video once in a while or have a good thought I want to share. So I'm back.

In the past several months I have done the following:
graduated from AmeriCorps NCCC
road tripped from Sacramento, CA to Minneapolis with 6 other team leaders. We stopped in Salem, Oregon; Crater Lake National Park, Olympic National, Seattle, Bonners Ferry, Idaho to have dinner with Aunt Ellen, Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park (I saw Old Faithful on my birthday!), and finally Mt. Rushmore.
Came home looked for a job
took one last AmeriCorps position as a VISTA leader with CASA of NJ in Trenton(www.casaofnj.org) This is one last year long commitment. Not sure how to remain a commitment-phobe now that I have worn out my welcome in AmeriCorps (there is a 3 year term limit).
moved to Hamilton, NJ just a few miles from work.
started growing herbs. that is not a drug reference
joined a gym in which the machines are yellow and red and make me crave mcdonalds the whole time i'm working out
got Zip back! (my cute little honda, duh)
....
This weekend Peter and I are going to Cape May with his family and I am packing my long underwear! YAY cold!
...
that's all for now.
