big weekend for blue 3. on Friday we finished up at St. Bernard Project. This morning we said a temporary goodbye to two team mates who will be serving on a composite team going to Tennessee for disaster relief. They will be mucking out buildings affected by recent flooding. Saying good bye to them was sad!
so we have officially moved into camp hope just one town away for the next few days for transition. The building used to be a school and now many of the classrooms have been filled with bunk beds and a shower facility is outside. The entire blue unit is here as well as a team from perry point campus and many volunteers. pretty excited for nearly a week when i don't have to cook or go grocery shopping. i also won't have to drive people downtown because we are right near the bus stop so that is sweet too.
looking forward to transition this week and then moving on to project green light (http://www.greenlightneworleans.org/) next week.
