So we have completed one full week of work here in Green River. I appreciate many of the differences between LA and Green River.
1. We can walk anywhere in town. I LOVE not driving around.
2. No traffic. Ok so I just said we don’t drive, but the few times we do we do not get stuck in hours of traffic. Excellent
3. snow. I realized recently that I gauge the passing of time with seasons. Therefore, it sort of felt time was standing still with the same weather from September –December. Time is passing again.
4. beautiful scenery. Correction: there was beautiful scenery in LA, maybe different scenery is a better way to say it.
5. wide open spaces. There is room to run around and you can see for miles. Amazing.
6. tiny little grocery store makes shopping trips short and sweet.
7. the simplicity of a small town.
On the weekend we went on a hike near town in the buttes. We also got the van stuck in snow and took an hour to push it out. Oops! Check out some pictures.
